Half a Camel Productions – Temporary Loss of Operational Control

As of May 2025, the operation of Half a Camel Productions is no longer under my full control due to an ongoing safeguarding issue and a complex police matter involving coercive behaviour and reputational harm.

What You Need to Know

• On April 7th I formally revoked consent for PC Jon Dixon to remain involved in my case.

• I am now working with a new investigating officer, with support from Veritas Justice.

• Brighton Fringe have been made aware of this transition and are encouraged to liaise directly with Veritas Justice to confirm the safeguarding position and ensure accuracy moving forward.

While I appreciate the pressures the Fringe team are under, there has unfortunately been a breakdown in communication at a time when clarity and caution were essential. Decisions were made around my venues, communication channels, and operations — at times without my knowledge or consent — during an extremely vulnerable period. As a result, I am no longer in safe control of the systems I built.

Why This Matters

Half a Camel Productions was founded to offer safe, artist-led spaces rooted in transparency and care. At present, I cannot confidently stand behind some of the decisions being made under its name. This is not by choice.

To artists and audiences:

• I am not currently responsible for the public-facing operations of Half a Camel.

• I ask for patience while I work with safeguarding professionals to restore what was lost.

• If you have questions or concerns, Veritas Justice has my permission to confirm the situation and answer any queries from those acting in good faith.

Next Steps

This is a difficult and painful process, but I remain committed to truth, accountability, and creating safe artistic spaces. I will continue documenting everything and will publish a full archive in due course.
